We are looking for an experienced Senior Programmes Manager to manage and deliver on the implementation and quality control of large scale projects full cost recovery, co-funding, partnership opportunities and agreed local projects in the programmatic areas of Society and Education and by working with partners, stakeholders and wider target audiences in Jordan to achieve maximum impact and meet the British Council’s strategic objectives.
Basic salary starts at JOD 1425 plus 2 months bonus salary, Provident Fund, medical insurance and Social Security

- Knowledge of the education systems; society landscape, key actors, stakeholders and priorities in Jordan.
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English
- Understanding of Project Cycle Management
- Project and Contract Management
- Financial Planning and Management
- Business Management and Development
- A minimum of 4 years management experience
- A proven track record in the management of large projects
- At least 2 years experience in donor-funded project pursuit or fundraising.
Bachelors degree Postgraduate degree in Education, Development, Social Sciences, Arts or MBA.
