Why not do a UK-Japan school exchange project?
The British Council provides a free service to Japanese and UK primary and secondary schools to find a partner school. We offer guidance to schools on how to develop school exchanges through workshops and seminars for teachers, and on our School Links website.

Each year, over 100 Japanese and UK schools engage in exchange projects by exchanging letters, e-mails, videos and art works on themes of common interest, related to fields such as society, everyday life, language and culture.

Support for language and cultural studies
We  send assistant Japanese teachers to UK primary and secondary schools and run intensive Japanese courses for British pupils at Japanese educational institutions.

Improving teaching skills through teacher exchanges
We provide opportunities for UK teachers to visit Japan, and Japanese and UK teachers to network and share new ideas and approaches to education. Recent programmes included discussions on school leadership, learning strategies, ICT and foreign language leaning at primary and secondary levels. This opportunity has proved to be valuable for both Japanese and UK teachers in finding new ways to approach and explore education.
