Why get involved?
Developing International School Partnership

Home > UK Education > Schools Online > Why get involved?

Schools Online has a whole-school approach that benefits everyone in the school community and helps schools to fulfil their objectives.

Schools Online allows pupils to interact with each other by exploring common interests and cultural and social differences at an individual, class, and school level. It provides pupils with a great opportunity to broaden their international understanding, deepen their interest in different cultures, and develop the ability to cooperate with young people from around the world. School links are also valuable for practical and purposeful English learning and the interactive use of ICT.

The aims of Schools Online are to:

Broaden the international view of young people, developing a deeper understanding and awareness of different world views and practices in their country and in other countries through school partnerships.
Broaden the international outlook of teachers, developing a deeper understanding and awareness of different world views and practices in their country and in other countries through school partnerships.
Enrich the international dimension of school curricula through school partnerships.
Support the aims of national education systems to educate young people as global citizens through school partnerships.

Why not get involved in international school partnerships and enrich your pupils' learning activities? There are two programmes to choose from.
