Bank information for bank transfer from Japan

Pay your test fee by bank transfer within 3 bank working days after you have completed online registration. Please note that your registration will be cancelled if the payment is not made within three bank working days.

When making payment, please enter your name and the 6 digit Transaction Reference which was included in the confirmation e-mail.

  • Candidates need to obtain a Transaction Reference every time they register for the tests.  The numbers given are valid one time only.
  • If you are making payment from overseas, please downward the bank information from here.
  • If you use Internet banking and cannot enter the Transaction Reference number, please let us know the payment date, test date and full name by email.
    For tests in Tokyo and Nagoya: idexams@britishcouncil.or.jp
    For tests in Osaka, Kyoto and Fukuoka: idexams.osaka@britishcouncil.or.jp

Note: Where payment has been made but registration procedures have not been followed correctly, we will not be able to process your application and will refund your payment minus an administration fee of 6,300JPY (including tax). This will apply to payments made to us after the 3 day deadline for online registration, or where the registration process was not completed correctly.
