We will organise symposia and think tanks, bringing together experts from the UK and the region to debate, challenge and exchange ideas and knowledge at both country and regional level. Through these discussions we will support the process of turning information into practical outcomes and courses of action.

ELTons2012
The ELTons, sponsored by Cambridge ESOL, are the only international awards that recognise and celebrate innovation in English language teaching (ELT). They reward educational resources that help English language learners and teachers to achieve their goals.

Applications are submitted online by 2 December 2011 and they are judged by an independent panel of ELT experts, using the Delphi Technique.

The nominees are announced in March and the winners are announced at an awards ceremony in central London on 23 May 2012.

British Council Access English Research Partnership Awards
The British Council Access English project aims to facilitate the production of innovative research to benefit the learning and teaching of English in East Asia by co-funding a number of partnership awards.

The deadline for applications is 31 December 2011.
