This course is designed for students who have completed an Upper-intermediate course at the British Council but do not feel ready to proceed to the advanced level.

New students who have not studied English for some time and need or would like a refresher course.

About this courses

The Step Up 2 course is a topic-based, integrated skills course and is designed to prepare you for the Advanced level by consolidating your language skills and boosting your confidence.


Course Outline

In the Step Up 2 Course you will cover the following topics:

  • Famous People
  • Health
  • Music
  • Travel

In the Step Up 2 course you will be able to:

  • improve your confidence in speaking and listening
  • review and consolidate key vocabulary and grammar
  • have extensive skills practice in speaking, listening, reading, writing and pronunciation
  • use authentic reading and listening materials from a variety of sources
  • focus on effective communication and natural English
