About these courses

You will learn from a teacher who can understand Japanese who can teach you to gain confidence in speaking fluently with accurate grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. Your teachers will introduce new language in a clear and interesting way and will give you plenty of opportunities to use it in realistic situations. This means you will be able to confidently join the Elementary English for Communication classes upon completion of the Starter Course. You will benefit from participating actively when practising the language in pairs and groups as you can maximise your exposure to English.



Course outline

  1. gain confidence in using classroom English in order to learn effectively in an English for communication course
  2. learn the basic sounds of English that Japanese students find difficult to pronounce
  3. learn how to listen effectively in English
  4. learn basic grammar so that you can form simple sentences in English
  5. learn how to develop vocabulary used in context
  6. learn how to read simple texts
  7. learn how to develop your English at home
  8. learn how to learn English with a group of students at starter level
