The British Council is staging a Pre-Departure Briefing for students planning to study in the UK from the start of the new academic year this autumn.

Tokyo:
Date and time: Thursday 25 June
15:00 – 16:50: For those planning to study at undergraduate level
17:10 – 19:00: For those planning to study at postgraduate level

Capacity: 100 for each session

Location:
We will contact participants individually with details of the location once their booking has been successfully completed. The nearest station will be Hanzomon.

14:00 – 17:00 (students from all study abroad sectors are welcome)

Programme:

			14:00 – 15:00: Saving Money in the UK Talk in Japanese by a British staff member on how to save money while in the UK. There will be an introduction to student discount schemes, reasonably priced supermarkets and cheap travel options.
			15:00 – 16:00: Panel Discussion from Japanese Alumni Talk on the following points from the perspective of a Japanese international student. 【Living in the UK】 Information on insurance, mobile phones, health care, free time, employment and making friends in the UK. 【Academic Life in the UK】 Information on preparing for lessons, class styles, support for international students, essay writing and personal tutors. 【Q&A】
			16:00 – 17:00: Networking Session A chance to meet up with other students preparing to go to the UK as well as to receive advice from people who have already been there to study. Food and drink will also be provided.
