The British Council is keen to ensure that its building and services are accessible to disabled members of the public. Wherever possible, we have made our building and services accessible. Sometimes however, this is not possible due to security or other restrictions. In these situations strive to provide a service or access to our building in an alternative way to ensure equality of access for disabled people. To assist disabled visitors, we have set out below details of disabled access at the British Council. We hope this information is helpful.
Entrance The British Council Osaka Centre is located inside Dojima Avanza.
- From the Ground Floor level: The main ground-floor entrances of Dojima Avanza Building are wheelchair accessible from the pavements around the building. Each entrance is equipped with a pair of automatic doors, which slide apart horizontally, and whose width is no less than 1.6 m.
- From DOTICA Underground Shopping Centre: Leave the shopping centre through Exit C84, which leads to the south end of Basement 1 of Dojima Avanza Building. A wheelchair lift is installed on the right side of the exit staircase. When you press the call button, staff members will come to guide you to Basement 1. As on the Ground Foor, the building’s entrances on Basement 1 are wheelchair accessible and equipped with a pair of automatic doors, which slide apart horizontally.
