The first Connecting Classrooms activity for schools in Lombardy took place in Varese from 28 to 30 March, at the Istituto De Filippi.

50 students, previously selected by their schools, together with 5 teachers took part in a residential training course over three-days carried out by young, experienced intercultural trainers, in which they discussed diversity and social inclusion issues, through non-formal education methodology.

Through the four different steps of experience, reflection, conceptualization and use, the students were able to experience a more interactive approach, than what they would normally encounter at school. Part of the activities were carried out in English.
