The UK is taking the lead on 5 major exploratory missions to Mars, the Moon, Venus, Saturn and the Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko being launched between 2003 and 2005. The British Council is celebrating these great moments with an innovative and exciting touring exhibition called Exploring the Solar System. The exhibition looks at key missions and describes some of the challenges that scientists and engineers face in designing spacecraft. With striking graphics, comprehensive text in Italian and walk-through tunnel display, Exploring the Solar System guides visitors through the science behind the missions and the questions that they will answer about the planets, comets and asteroids.
