The UK Chair for the British-Italian Partnership Programme

Professor Bill Wakeham, Vice-Chancellor of Southampton University, one of Britain’s top 10 research-led universities, has accepted the British Council’s invitation to become the UK Chair of the British-Italian Partnership Programme.  A distinguished physicist and engineer, Professor Wakeham will be responsible, with his research staff, for the UK assessment of the collaborative projects proposed each year.

‘I am delighted to be involved in this initiative which promotes the development of British-Italian scientific cooperation and  provides invaluable support for researchers in Italy and the UK to work closely together.'
