Inclusion & Diversity in Education

Our 'Inclusion and Diversity in Education' project unites policy makers in the field of education and inclusion, head teachers and young leaders from eleven European countries: Belgium, England, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Malta, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Spain and Wales.  The aim of this project is to promote social cohesion, raise educational standards and build lasting networks which focus on the common challenges presented by immigration and cultural diversity to school education in the participating countries.

YOUNG LEADER TRAINING
In 2007, every participanting country organised training sessions in "leadership in culturally diverse schools" for 50 pupils. With the help of professional trainers they learnt to develop ideas and express them to others through  a three-day training session. In November 2008,  we were delighted to welcome the next generation of Young Leaders to the project. 50 students had the opportunity to debate on the subject of inclusion and diversity and to develop their skills in communication and team working. They surely had a stimulating and enjoyable week! We now have 100 trained pupils in each school.
