What is IELTS?
IELTS is an examination of English language which many organisations require students to take before they begin a course of study or need to use English for professional purposes.
It is accepted by British and Australian universities and often by American universities as proof that the candidate has a level of English appropriate to a particular course.
It is also taken by people moving to Australia, New Zealand or Canada.

Test Details
The exam has four papers:
Listening
Reading
Writing
Speaking
On the dates in bold, candidates can sit for both General Training module, and Academic Training module
On other dates, only Academic Training module is available.

The exam starts at 0900 unless otherwise communicated to candidates. Candidates are asked to arrive at least fifteen minutes before the start of the exam.
Results
Results are available 13 days after the examination day. One copy of the Test Report form will be sent to the candidate and up to four extra copies can be sent to academic institutions as indicated.
Cost
The fee for the examination is € 180,00. Candidates can enrol by making the payment and completing an application form at the British Council up to 7 days before the date of the exam. You will be able to pay cash, with a cheque, bancomat, credit card and vaglia postale.. Candidates must provide two passport photos with their application.

At our Resource Centre in Via Morghen 31, you will be able to use the Self-Study Discs for IELTS. Our Resource Centre staff will be happy to give you all the information about joining our centre.
