WHAT IS IELTS?

IELTS is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. IELTS is recognised by universities in many countries, including Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA and the UK, for course admission.

WHAT DOES THE EXAM CONSIST OF?
There are four parts to the test taken over the course of one day:

• Reading: 1 hour
• Writing: 2 written tasks, 1 hour
• Listening: 30 minutes
• Speaking: face-to-face interview, 15 minutes
