Communication Skills
The course focuses on a wide range of highly practical activities that give students the skills they need to communicate effectively in everyday situations related to social life, travel, study and work. The teacher will help students to develop their listening and speaking skills through intensive practice at B1, B2 and C1 levels with reference to “Can Do Statements”. These statements describe what language users can typically do at different levels and in different contexts in accordance with ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) and the Council of Europe Framework (CEF). The course has an international feel with listening practice containing examples of native and non native English accents. You will also develop useful listening and speaking strategies and there will be an emphasis on pronunciation. The teacher will also provide guidance on how to improve your learning inside and outside of the classroom.
