Courses for Scuola Media students

These classes are for students in Scuola Media, carefully divided by levels of English.

There will be a syllabus based on a carefully chosen book for your child’s level and age. Teachers will also make use of authentic materials and interactive computer programmes and web sites.

We study all aspects of English. Although the focus is still on speaking and listening, the study of reading, writing and grammar are equally important.  We teach English in a more analytical way and encourage students to take more responsibility for their learning, focussing on useful study skills.

Students will work individually, in pairs, in small and larger groups and as a whole class and

practise speaking through role-plays, conversation and discussion tasks, and giving simple presentations

practise writing simple stories, informal letters or emails, fact files and factual descriptions

practise reading and listening in class through a variety of media

Many students in these classes will be looking at taking internationally recognised Cambridge exams such as KET or PET.
