Scuola superiore

These classes are for students in Scuola Superiore.

There will be a syllabus based on a carefully chosen book for your child’s level and age. Teachers will also make use of authentic materials and interactive computer programmes and web sites.

We study all aspects of English. Although the focus is still on speaking and listening, the study of reading, writing and grammar are equally important.  We also focus on study skills to enable students to become autonomous enough to continue learning English outside the classroom

Students will work individually, in pairs, in small and larger groups and as a whole class and

  • practise speaking through role-plays, conversation and discussion tasks, and giving simple presentations to the class
  • practise writing simple stories, informal letters or emails, fact files and factual descriptions
  • practise reading and listening in class through a variety of media

Many students in these classes will be looking at taking internationally recognised Cambridge exams such as PET or FCE as proof of sufficient language ability to further their studies in both universities in Italy and abroad.
