Course Payments

  • You can make payments in cash, by cheque, bancomat, credit card and credit card over the phone  (Visa and Mastercard)
  • Course fees can be paid in instalments by credit card only (Visa or Mastercard) . On enrolling you must authorize the British Council to take payments on the relevant dates.
  • Single payment for the course must be made before the course start date. In the case of late or missed payments, the British Council will cancel the student from the course.
  • If for any reason your son/daughter wish to stop attending his/her course, please let  us know immediately by sending an email to corsi.roma@britishcouncil.it This ensures that we will not send you reminders for payment.
  • The receipt can be made out to the person making the payment if this is communicated to our staff prior to issue of the receipt
  • The enrolment fee is valid for the entire academic year from September to July. It is not refundable or transferable.  For those who enrol on summer intensive courses, the enrolment fee is valid for the following academic year, from October to June, but not for summer courses after that. The enrolment fee cannot be considered part payment for lessons not paid for, even if payment is not received within the deadlines stipulated.
  • Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds or credits except in the case of courses we cancel.

General Information YL only

  • All students must take an entrance test to establish their level of English. All students must be accompanied by a parent  who will need to sign the data processing form.
  • It is not possible to take a trial lesson
  • Course books and fees for Cambridge exams are not included in the price of the course
  • There are a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 14 students in each class. The final decision will be made by the British Council.
  • The British Council reserves the right to cancel or merge classes if there are not enough students enrolled on the course
  • The academic hour is 53 minutes
  • We kindly ask you to look after valuables as the British Council can take no responsibility for their loss or theft
  • The British Council hopes to encourage a spirit of mutual cooperation and support with its students. We reserve the right to expel any student displaying inappropriate behaviour. The British Council will be the only judge in this case.
  • If a student needs to leave the lesson early, parents should communicate this to the teacher by written note.
  • Students attending the ‘scuola media superiore’ will be allowed to go home on their own, unless otherwise indicated by a parent
  • Parents of ‘scuola elementare’ and ‘cuola media’ students are responsible for filling in the form allowing another person to meet the child (delega). Scuola media students may also leave unaccompanied.
  • It is the responsibility of the parents to communicate information about any illness or allergy on the appropriate form, and also to tell  the teacher  and any subsequent supply teacher .
  • In the event of an emergency, for example, extreme weather conditions, it may be necessary to close the building and cancel lessons. Whilst we will make every attempt to make up missed lessons, for calendar reasons, this may not be possible.
