The British Council training for Academics aims to help participants:
- Increase comprehension and production of written and spoken English and aim for clarity, precision and fluency
- Produce clear, well-structured and accurate written work for academic contexts
- Produce well prepared and coherent arguments and develop skills for directing and influencing decisions
- Increase listening skills and improve understanding of lectures and conference talks
- Participate in seminars, group discussions and debates and deliver effective presentations
- Plan, organise and write conference papers and abstracts
