NEW CONNECTIONS IN MUSIC

Concerts, talks, workshops and learning opportunities are some of the kinds of activities which we create.

New Connections Recognition Award. This award is offered to those artists and organisations who help foster closer cultural ties between the UK and Italy. It’s our way of saying “Grazie, Club To Club”!

EMUFEST, the International Festival for Electroacustic Music, organised by Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, took place from 7th to 17th October. The festival saw, amongst the others, Denis Smalley, on 14th of October. Denis is Professor Emeritus at City University London and is a composer specialising in electroacoustic music. The New British Jazz scene

ALEXANDER HAWKINS ENSEMBLE
Musicologist Stefano Zenni, invited Alex Hawkins at this year edition of Metastasio Jazz in Prato. Stefano met Alex during his participation at the UK Jazz Showcase 2011, where he participated as a British Council delegate. Here is his comment about the artist "Amongst all the latest European talents, that of the pianist Alexander Hawkins (1981) is one of the most versatile. With great technical agility, a clear touch and exuberant inventive, Hawkins is heir to a multiplicity of experiences from the UK scene"
