7 MINUTES WITH CLAIRE CUNNINGHAM
author and director Francesca Pedroni, introduction Alison Driver
In her touching and intelligent work "Me (Mobile / Evolution)" she dances with her crutches, recounting us her story and introducing the audience to her original and personal aesthetic as a performer. She offers her public a different way of looking at disable people, enabling us to discover the beauty and the truth of the difference and skill of dancing in a "four legged style", as Bill Shannon, a maitre in dancing with crutches, and Claire call it, without self-pity but virtuosity and humour.
8 MINUTES WITH BILLY COWIE
Scottish artist, writer and choreographer Billy Cowie has been working on a series of groundbreaking stereoscopic dance installations that bring the projected dancer(s) from the screen into the same space as the viewer. This allows the spectator a close-up and intimate experience of the choreography while maintaining the corporeal presence and physicality of a live performance.
