JONATHAN MONK/FIONA BANNER
@ENTHROPIE

Jonathan Monk and Fiona Banner represent UK in this interesting exhibition, which is bringing together a group of works from the period 1969 to 2002 that are undermining the idea of the artwork as an immutable, made-to-last, measurable or physical object. The presence of the proposed works is dubious, changeable, brief, difficult to locate or unpredictable, irreversible and sometimes chaotic. In all exhibits the conception of the work contains already the idea of its ‘vanishing’ or ‘destruction’. The main reference of the project is the evolution within an art work (from one state into another) and it’s fragility, ultimately towards human life.
