YOUNG BRITISH DESIGNERS
@MILAN DESIGN WEEK

Since 1997, The British Council’s annual student show in Milan has launched the work of over 40 graduating British designers to an audience of international design press, furniture and product design buyers, retailers and manufacturers.
This year seventeen furniture and product design students have been selected for their unique work which demonstrates the diversity and extraordinary creativity of students studying at UK design colleges. Many pieces in this year’s show reflect our changing patterns of living - that we're working from home, living in smaller spaces, and require furniture and products that work a little bit harder to earn their place in our homes.
The exhibitors were selected in a national competition judged by Tom Dixon, Creative Manager at Habitat, Sheridan Coakley, Director of London furniture retailer and manufacturer SCP and Lucy Swift from the British Council's Art, Architecture & Design department in London.
