At Romaeuropa Festival, Colin Poole performs his most recent work The Box Office: his unique take on the myths surrounding the exploitation of the black dancing body. Poole is a London-based independent artist who produces distinctive dance theatre. He seeks to comment on current issues surrounding contemporary culture in a challenging, humorous and thought-provoking way. Popular culture and its relationship to personal desire, image, gender and cultural identity, all inform his work.
