Cheek by Jowl Company was founded in 1981 by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod.The company's name derives from a sentence quoted from A Midsummer Night's Dream, "Follow! Nay, I'll go with thee cheek by jowl". Act III Sc II.
At Teatro Grassi in Milan, they will perform one of Shakespeare's most surprising, anarchic and moving play, "Cymbeline", written at the height of Shakespeare's powers.
