The international aspect to scientific research has resulted in the need for more efficient ways to carry out the exchange of complementary knowledge between research centres.
In my case the Partnership Programme between the British Council and MIUR has completely fulfilled this requirement, allowing the development of a scientific collaboration which began during my time as a Ph.D student at Imperial College London. Thanks to this programme it will be possible to strengthen the link between my research group at the CNR and colleagues at Queen's University of Belfast, who are active in a research field which also interests us.
The success of this initiative is also partly due to the enthusiasm of the young researchers taking part in the programme and their increasing interest in being given the opportunity for professional growth within sound and dynamic international collaborations.
