Congratulations Kuei Ying for solving the Examinations Services quiz to celebrate the 60 years of the British Council In Italy! Your name has been drawn from all those who sent the correct answer. A curiosity... where does your name come from?
I am often asked. My parents are Italian but my grandmother, she was Chinese...
You have passed the Cambridge CAE in the June session. How will you use this certification in future?

I am still studying at university. Perhaps I will use it for academic purposes or look for a job... who knows!
Or even for a PHD in the UK?
Why not? A friend of mine is studying in Cambridge and she tells me how exciting it is, and difficult at the same time! She has to write essays in English, following a set structure: In Italy we're not used to that.
Are you going to take the next step certification, the prestigious Cambridge Proficiency in English?
Don't know. I believe that it's a pretty difficult level to pass without spending a period abroad. I will continue attending a British Council course and see what will be next.
The goal might not be so far! Did you know about the Cambridge ESOL examinations prior to enrolling in a course at the British Council?
I didn't, to be honest. I have attended a British Council course for many years. It was my teachers who advised me to take the exam. Now, I have subscribed to the newsletter and receive all the information about exams directly in my inbox!
Would you recommend Cambridge ESOL examinations to your friends? And why?
No doubt that I will recommend the exams to my  friends! They're a perfect opportunity to monitor your own progress and level of English achieved. As a matter of fact, here is my friend Silvia. She's been involved personally in my exam. She came with me today to collect my prize; but it will soon be her turn to take the exam in the March session!
Well, good luck to Kuei Ying for her future studies, and to Silvia for her exam in March!
