Sshilpa Narang    The IELTS as an exam module aims at testing your basic communication skills in English. However, during the exam and the preparation period what one really finds strenuous is effective time management. The key to the exam lies in the ability to go through each section calmly and to the best of your abilities. In this respect I found the orientation held at the British Council, New Delhi really helpful. Though the pointers and tips were very basic but it draws your attention to exactly what you need to keep in mind to crack the exam.

The staff at British Council, Chandigarh and the phone helpline in Delhi were very helpful with answering my queries about the exam. The complimentary preparation material was very informative and formed the basis for my preparation. The British council's website is a store house of information about the exams and steps for the preparation for the exam. On the day of the examination the facilities and staff at the test center made every possible arrangement to make us feel comfortable. The efficient working of the British Council made the gruelling task of preparing for the examination easy and stress free for me.

Bindiya Babukuttan “It was a pleasure taking the IELTS with the British Council in Jaipur. Firstly, the “Orientation To IELTS” on the eve of the exam was precious. It provided all the nuts & bolts for the last minute preparation- the things to keep in mind. At the exam centre it was very relieving to see the same coordinator who took the presentation. The whole exercise takes the “exam fear” out of a candidate. The settings were plush and with proper decorum. The exam was conducted professionally.
