International Networking of Young Scientists (INYS)

What is INYS?

This initiative aims to create collaborative links between young researchers in the UK and other countries. Particularly for young researchers, travel is the extended laboratory: it is a powerful source of new ideas and a strong driver for creativity.  While teleworking and electronic networks make it possible to create virtual centres of excellence, it is direct people-to-people contact that will make them successful.

INYS is the only international programme which supports face-to-face meetings between young scientists from the UK and other countries for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and information and for building international connections that assist the innovation process.

The call for INYS applications is announced once a year. Applications can be made in any area of science which is a priority nationally and for one of the UK Research Councils. Click on INYS programme homepage to find out more about this scheme.
