The Living Together project brought together diverse groups to increase awareness of the global debate surrounding intercultural dialogue and build trust and understanding across increasingly diverse societies.
In 27 participating countries, Living Together addressed the issues faced by minority and migrant communities and continues to promote the benefits of diversity in society.
We aim to inspire young leaders and impact wider society about issues surrounding minority communities through a series of programmes and events.
Imagine Your Future, part of the Living Together programme, empowers and develops young leaders aged 18 – 25 from minority and migrant communities across Europe, giving them the tools to articulate their ambitions, promote positive perceptions for their community and contribute to social change. The project enables aspiring leaders to think about their personal story and develop an inspirational message for wider society. During a three day workshop, participants learned about Digital Storytelling, how to write a script, record a voiceover and edit photos and drawings to produce a two minute film about their lives. The films challenge people to think about new ways of presenting minorities in the media and will be exhibited in public spaces and on the Imagine Your Future and DigiTales websites.
In Israel, we worked with minorities from the Ethiopian and Arab communities together with partners from Aswat, Baladna and Agenda.
