Contestants will each have three minutes to impress the judges and the audience with an entertaining and original talk that is scientifically accurate, exciting and engaging for the general public.   Legendary UK group Dreadzone to visit Israel

Pull on your dancing shoes! Greg Roberts, founder of the legendary group Dreadzone, well known for its wonderful and skilful combination of reggae and black music, will be coming to Israel for a one time show and workshop in Tel Aviv, with lead singer M.C Spee. Known for its unique way of combining different music styles such as dub, hip hop, reggae, dance hall, techno, drum and bass and more, the group has changed the world of reggae and continues to be a dominant player in the UK scene today.   Football for Peace training camp in Cologne

A delegation of sports professionals from Jewish and Arab villages in Israel will travel to the Sports University in Cologne, Germany to train in the Football 4 Peace values based approach to coaching and working with children. Researchers from the Wingate Institute will join the delegation to meet with their UK and German counterparts to launch an extensive evaluation research project. Football 4 Peace is a partnership project of the British Council, the Israel Sports Authority, Brighton University’s Chelsea School of Sport and the Sports University in Cologne, Germany running in Israel since 2000. 22-26 May, Cologne, Germany

  MUSRARAMIX Festival 08- hosting UK musician Keith Rowe

MusraraMix Festival, an interdisciplinary platform combining the arts, technology, society and philosophy, will focus this year on The Inner Court and will be held in collaboration with the Musrara neighbourhood residents. With the support of BI ARTS, the festival features the Israeli debut performance of legendary free improvisation guitarist and painter Keith Rowe, who is regarded as the godfather of Electro Acoustic Improvisation. Rowe will also share his artistic ongoing journey in a lecture and workshop on his unique musical language.   Supporting the film industry II: Script analysis workshop for producers

Specially designed by the Script Factory in London, this workshop is aimed at training film and television producers in reading, evaluation and analysis of scripts for feature films from the production point of view. This three day workshop, led by trainers Lucy Scher, co-director of the Script Factory, and Christopher Collins, producer at UK Film Council Development Fund, is the second joint initiative of the Israel Producers Association, our BI ARTS programme and the Israel Film Fund. 30 May-2 June, Tel Aviv
