Leonard Sainer - Chevening scholarship

The Leonard Sainer Legal Education Foundation in London and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) offer an annual award to undertake the one-year LLM degree at University College London. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with Dechert the London law firm sponsoring the scholarship or another appropriate law firm in London. Arrangements will also be made, if possible, for the candidate to spend time working with a High Court Judge.

The application deadline for Chevening 2010 -2011 is 5 January 2010.

Awards cover

LLM tuition fees
A monthly stipend
Return economy airfare

The award does not cover costs for accompanying family members

Selection Criteria

Graduates of the Law Faculty from Hebrew University and the Universities of Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Bar Ilan.
Students who will have obtained their first degree in law from the above universities by summer 2010.
Successful candidates must commit to return to Israel at the end of their study, unless otherwise agreed with the sponsors. The sponsors reserve the right to require repayment of the cost of the scholarship if the successful candidate does not return within the designated period
