Skills@Work promotes a global approach to professional education in Israel, the UK and participating countries in Europe to support economic growth and a globally competitive Europe and develop our vision for Europe - working together to build next generation.

Our vision and goals

By participating in Skills@Work we aim to align education and training provision with the needs of industry by involving employers in developing professional education.  By emphasizing the importance of professional education, we hope that it will receive greater priority at policy level.  Benefits young people gain from skills based training include

relevant, transferable skills for employment in a global market
the skills to contribute to a culture of enterprise and innovation

Programmes and Events

There are a number of activities, programmes and initiatives that have been developed to support our aims.  These include

engaging policy makers, employers and leaders of industry from participating countries
creating partnerships between colleges in the UK, Israel and participating European countries
running Skills@Work competitions which encourage young people to use their skills in enterprising ways
