British Council Israel
About the British Council title.
OPENING DOORS - BROADENING HORIZONS

The British Council is the UK's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations with other countries. We have been in Israel since 1950 and have centres in Tel Aviv, West Jerusalem and Nazareth; our activities take place throughout Israel.

We believe that cultural relations promote understanding and trust between people of different cultures through the exchange of knowledge and ideas. We work to build relationships between people and institutions in the UK and Israel, through programmes and events in the areas of science and the arts, education, English language and intercultural dialogue. Much of what we do in Israel has an international dimension involving countries in Europe.

Connecting with people from a wide range of backgrounds in more than 100 countries around the world, we face challenges associated with different social and cultural values, customs and norms. Our commitment to equality and diversity underlines everything we do.
