European young Lawyers scheme
The European Young Lawyers' scheme (EYLS) was offered by the British Council Dublin for the first time last year. The scheme enables young practising lawyers to learn more about the British legal system by offering a placement in either the College of Law, London or at Edinburgh University for 6 months (January-July) incorporating a week long visit to Northern Ireland to study the system there. Apart from the courses offered in Scotland or England EYLS provides a great opportunity for young lawyers in Europe to network and all participants are encouraged keep in touch.
