Rethinking Action on Climate Change

Climate Change is the biggest challenge facing today’s world. It’s happening now and is directly related to our everyday actions, behaviours and attitudes. We all need to reduce our own carbon footprint and give access to affordable, clean, renewable power to everyone on the planet. This is essential, particularly for those worst affected by climate change in the world’s poorest regions, but also for ourselves and for future generations.

This event, the third in British Council’s collaboration with Cultivate Centre, informed people aged between 16 and 25 on the issues and, most importantly, on how we can respond. Films, new media, world café discussions and interactive sessions aided in sharing experience and ideas.

Guest Speaker, Jeremy Leggett is an award winning scientist, author and founder of the charity SOLARCENTURY. He has been described by Time magazine as “one of the key players in putting the climate issue on the world agenda”.
