How we can support your work in arts

Are you an artist, musician, writer, performer, film-maker, curator, producer, or arts practitioner looking to develop partnerships and work with your UK counterparts? Are you established yet need to further your work through new audiences and creative opportunities? If you are producing work that encourages cultural understanding then we may be able to help.

Can we support your work?
We support a selection of creative projects each year, which we choose according to strict criteria. For more details on our selection procedures and application guidelines, you can visit the funding area of our main arts site.

What kind of work do we support?
We support professional work in all areas of the arts, including development through workshops and seminars. We can help to develop and promote all kinds of creativity; and are keen to support work that is cross-cultural and/or aimed at new/young audiences. If you would like a clearer idea of the kind of work we support, you can visit our main website, or view some of our recent/current projects.

The themes we have identified in our Arts Plan (2003-2005) are:

Showcasing and sharing new work - Presenting some of the best and brightest original art works coming out of the UK, with the possibility of developing co-productions with some of our Irish partners
Access all areas: arts, identity and inclusion - Developing new art projects which cross over aspects of our arts and governance work. Particular areas of interest are working with issues of diversity and identity as well as projects that use the arts as a mechanism for social and cultural development.
Model behaviour: sharing models of best practice in the arts - Facilitating inward visits to the UK by Irish arts personnel to look at models of arts practice and cultural policy development
Northern exposure: north south collaboration in the arts - Our aim is to develop joint projects, co-produce work where possible, and assist in touring arts work across the island of Ireland
Have a look at our events to see some of the project we are currently involved in.

Why work with us?
As an international organisation, we can share our global knowledge of the arts marketplace, which gives you the opportunity to benefit from new audiences and professional partnerships. We can also help to attract funding for your project, and promote the work in your own region.

When and where can we support you?
We work with artists and practitioners throughout the year. However, if you would like to work with us, you'll need to contact us well in advance (usually about a year before you plan to deliver your work).

How to apply for support
The kind of support we can offer will depend on the work itself and your plans. For a more detailed look at how we support work, and whether you are elligible to apply, you can read our international guidelines. You can also contact our arts team with specific questions.
