The Shiraz Book Exhibition was held in the University of Shiraz from 5 - 8 January 2003. More than 100 titles were exhibited. The exhibition was called “British Contribution to Persian Studies” and included both academic and literary works written by British scholars about the culture, literature, history and geography of Iran.

The Shiraz Book Exhibition was very successful because a large number of students and members of academic staff attended the event. The British Council received very positive feedback from the university organizers and was able to promote the activities of the British Council in Shiraz.  

At the end of the exhibition, the books were donated to the British Institute of Persian Studies (BIPS) and now form a part of their permanent collection.
