We work with British and Iranian publishers to promote the distribution of British literature within Iran. We are also involved in creating links between Iranian publishers and UK distributors and work closely with the Publishers Association in the UK.

We have supported a history publishing project, aimed at making outstanding works by Iranian academics available to the English-speaking world.

The British Council Film and Literature Department has a literature website and also has a number of literary portals offering detailed information about all areas of literature, including animating literature, contemporary British fiction, literary conferences and how to enrol on creative writing courses in the UK.
