The Best in British film

Both Britain and Iran have strong cinematic traditions and we work to forge links and facilitate cooperation between professionals in the film industry.

There are several film festivals held in Tehran throughout the year, the most well-established being the annual Fajr International Film Festival. We support British Film entrants for the Fajr Festival by working with filmmakers and festival orgnisers to promote the best of British Film In Iran.

We support the annual International Short Film Festival, organised by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, which takes place in October every year. Last year British short film 'The Last Client' Directed by Stewart le Marechal won Best Script in the Spiritual Section of the Tehran 9th International Short Film
