Sita Supomo

Sita Supomo has always been passionate about getting people together for a cause. She started training program for nurses in Johnson & Johnson Medical Indonesia; launched digital inclusion in villages with Microsoft Indonesia; ran community dialogues with companies to support education in East Kalimantan with the support of Unocal Foundation, USAID and GE Foundation; and engaged companies in CSR for over 15 years. In 2011, she set-up Volunteer-ID and became its  Chief of Volunteer Architect with a mission to bridge business and community engagement through employee volunteering. She is a 2004 Chevening scholar, graduated with an MA in CSR from the University of Nottingham.

Israr Ardiansyah

Israr Ardiansyah

Israr Ardiansyah is a Chevening scholar with an MSc in Environment, Science and Society (formerly MSc in Public Understanding of Environmental Change) from University College London in 2005. He was born in Yogyakarta and obtained his BSc in Forestry from Gadjah Mada University. After his stints as a TV programme presenter, working for The Jakarta Post and Detikcom News Portal, he decided to move to Jakarta in 2002 to join WWF-Indonesia, where he initiated and planned the organisation’s Living Planet Magazine. In 2011, Israr was given mandate as Gerakan Indonesia Mengajar’s Community Engagement Manager, and later on assigned as its Community Engagement Advisor.

Ledy Simarmata

Ledy Simarmata

Ledy Simarmata graduated with an MSc from the Manchester Business School, University of Manchester in 2010, majoring in Business Information Systems. She went to study in the UK as a recipient of the fully-funded British Chevening scholarship. For her dissertation project, she had the chance to work with Telefonica O2 UK, one of the leading telecommunications providers in the UK. Ledy is a former news anchor and producer at Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI), one of the Indonesia’s largest national television stations, where she served for over four years. Currently, she works as a consultant and project manager at Burson-Marsteller Indonesia, in the areas of corporate and financial practice.

Devi Suryani

Devi Suryani is a 2009-2010 Chevening scholar, garnering an MSc in Management Implementation of Development Programme from the University of Manchester. She currently work as National Project Manager for Technical Support to Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Completion and Continuation Coordination (TS to R2C3), a programme of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Indonesia. Studying in the UK has enriched her international experience and gave her the opportunity to mix with other international and UK students. In terms of study and life balance, Devi reckons UK offer plenty of attractions for every age, not to mention scenic place and one of the famous football leagues in the world to watch.    

Andrea Tejokusumo

Andrea Tejokusumo

Andrea Tejokusumo is a professional writer, copywriter and amateur manga artist from Jakarta, Indonesia. She graduated with a BA (Honours) in Journalism from the University of the Arts London in 2005, and has years of print, online and broadcast media experiences in Indonesia and England. Throughout her career, she has worked for The Jakarta Post, DestinAsian Media Group and Indonesia Tatler on top of taking on copywriting projects with some of Indonesia’s most distinguished companies. In addition to copywriting, Andrea currently specialises in writing for mainstream English- and Indonesian-language publications across the region. She is the author of one writing guidebook and a graphic novel series.
