I am a firm believer in the importance of the ‘people’ factor in the workplace and had tried to convey these beliefs to my HR colleagues. But to get my message across well, I realised I needed a respected qualification to provide practical examples to back up my arguments. After much research I found the perfect course, at the University of Westminster in the UK. What made up my mind was that the course used exactly the kind of methods I was looking for.
My time in the UK empowered me with a drive to handle challenges and not give up easily when I had a setback. Most importantly, I gained valuable ‘life’ skills which greatly helped me to finish my Masters and, from my extraordinary experiences, develop as a person.
This life-changing experience of being a student in London convinced me that a paying for a foreign education was an investment to better manage our own capabilities and not just to make money for financial gain. Although I lived on meagre budget I could still afford to eat Japanese food, drink in coffee shops while I worked on my papers and even visit Spain on a 5 Pound plane ticket!
My motto is “do more to be more”. It’s not just about the degree I gained or the prestige of a UK education. It’s about the opportunity to upgrade yourself in the critical aspects of your life. This experience is priceless and a return on your investment that is inestimable.
