Visiting Fellowships from Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies 2010-2011
The Fellowships are offered to support research in any area of the arts, humanities or social sciences that has relevance to the study of Islam or the Muslim world, particularly anthropology, economics, geography, history, international relations, law, literature, philosophy, politics, religion and sociology.
Applications would normally be scholars or writers at the postdoctoral or equivalent level, but senior researchers are also eligible. An academic affiliation is not a necessary requirement. Each Fellowship carries a stipend of £4000 and membership of the Common Room. The stipend is intended as a supplementary award and may be held in conjunction wit other research grants, stipends, or sabbatical salaries. Fellowships may be held from 1 October 2010 for up to nine months (though shorter periods will be considered)

Visiting Research Fellowship from Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies
Applicatioins are invited for the Imam Buckhari and Imam Tirmizi Visiting Research Fellowship tenable during the academic year 2010-2011.
Applicants should be citizens of countries in Asia or Africa. Preference will be given to those studying classical Islamic sciences, although other areas in the humanities and social sciences will be considered. Each Research Fellowship carries a stipend £3000 and membership of the Common Room. The stipend is intended as a supplementary award and may be held in conjunction with other research grants, stipends, or sabbatical salaries. The Visiting Research Fellowship may be held from 1 October 2010 for a minimum period of three months.
These Visiting Research Fellowships are intended to encourage interaction among academics from different traditions of learning. The Imam Bukhari and Imam Tirmizi Fellows will be expected to devote their time to research and writing and to participate in the Centre’s academic activities.

The Hansard Research Scholars Programme
is a challenging opportunity for graduates and professionals to pursue a specific area of political academic interest whilst undertaking a high-profile internship within the world of British politics. You will study British politics at the London School of Economics, have seminars with politicians and intern in an organisation which corresponds with your research interests – be it with an NGO, a government department, a lobbying group or with the UK Parliament itself.
The Hansard Research Scholars Programme is a 12-week (11 weeks in summer), full-time course (split equally between study and internship).
