IYCE Design Finalists 2007

Bramono E. Sasongko (b.1979) is product designer with special interest in automobile and motorcycle customization. He won 1st place in the Automotive Design Competition held by the Indonesian Motor Show in July 2006 for his modified multipurpose vehicle.

Bullitt Sesariza (b.1972) is game developer, designer, programme, and owner of A-Box Activation Games, a company that builds games for advertisement purposes. His ambition is to show to the world that video games is now a big part of design and creative industries in Indonesia

Gregorius Supie Yolodi (b.1974) is Principal at d-associates architect. He designed the award-winning transparent Papillion building in Kemang, Jakarta, which reflect his philosophy of “good design is good life”.

Gustaff Hariman Iskandar (b.1974) is media artist, researcher, and director of Bandung Centre for new media arts/Common Room Networks Foundation, a well-known alternative art space for young local and international artists. Gustaff is national winner of the IYCE Design Award 2007.

Jerry Aurum Wirianta (b.1976) is creative director, designer, and photographer of Jerry Aurum Design Company and Jerry Aurum Photography. Femalography, his exhibition of well-known Indonesia models in unusual acrobatic settings, caused a stir when first shown in Singapore and back home in 2007.

M. Arief Budiman (b.1975) is managing director of advertising company PT. Petakumpet in Yogyakarta. In 2003, and 2005-2006, it grabbed “The Most Creative Agency” title at Pinasthika Ad. Festival. In 2007, their advertising work also won “The Best Print Ad” award from Cakram Magazine.

Wahyu Aditya (b.1980) is Founder, President Director, Teacher, Principal, Animator, and Creative Designer of Hello; Motion Corporation. His school has graduated 600 students while his short film and animation Festival attracts 10,000 audiences annually. Adit was national finalist in the IYCE Design Award 2006 and Screen Award 2007

Waluyohadi (b.1981) is an architect, industrial designer, and owner of Butawarna printing + design. Unlike other design companies, it focuses on solving urban problems by providing printing and design service for low-end markets such as owners of small public transportation vehicle (Angkot) and street vendors (Gerobak PKL).

Wisman Tjiardy (b.1974) is director of PT. Netpolitan. The company develops eLearning modules for the commercial sector, competing against such giant as IBM. Their clients include the ASEAN Secretariat, Bank Indonesia, Telkomsel, and other multinationals. According to Swasembada business magazine, Netpolitan is now one of the three most respected e-learning content developer in Indonesia. Wisman was national finalists in the IYCE Design Award 2006.

Yuni Jie (b.1977) is interior designer and owner of Jie Design. She is author of the first bilingual design books in Indonesia. In 2005-2006, Skala+ magazine featured her designs as one of their “Best Interior”.
