IYCE Fashion & Design Award

Past winners of IYCE Design Award include architects Ridwan Kamil (2006) and Johansen Samsoedin (2009), new media artist Gustaff Iskandar (2007) and furniture designer Joshua Simandjuntak (2011). Past winners of IYCE Fashion Award include fashion promoter Deli Makmur (2008), haute-coutourier Oscar Lawalata (2009) and online store Gantibaju.com owner Aria Rajasa (2011).

Apply for this sector if you own and run any of the following business or areas of work:

  • Architecture, interiors and environment
  • Product design manufacture: furniture, industrial products and craft
  • Design promotion: exhibitions, events, festivals and retail
  • Design marketing, PR, branding, journalism, publishing, communications, websites
  • Consultants providing specialist services in any of the areas outlined

  • Fashion, textile, accessories or perfume design and production
  • Fashion promotion: shows, exhibitions, festivals, and events
  • Fashion retail; buying and merchandising
  • Fashion product research, sourcing, and supply chain management
  • Fashion marketing, PR, branding, journalism, publishing, communications, and websites
  • Consultants providing specialist services in any of the areas outlined

Winner of IYCE Fashion & Design sector get to attend several large events and festivals in Fashion and Design sector, including the London Fashion Week, one of the ‘big four’ international catwalk influencers, London Design Festival, a city-wide design celebration staged in 150 different venues, and 100% Design, the world’s most important interior design exhibitions.

Previous programmes have included master-class with Sir Paul Smith and meetings with leading fashion businesses and key organisations such as SCP, Topshop, Selfridges, British Fashion Council, Ethical Fashion Forum, London College of Fashion, and Nottingham Trent University.

As well as master-classes with Sir Terence Conran and Tom Dixon and meetings with D&AD, Design Council, Architecture Association, and Design Business Association.

IYCE Screen & Interactive Award

Indonesia’s past IYCE Screen winners include animator Wahyu Aditya (2007), filmmaker Sakti Parantean (2008), and screenwriter Perdana Kartawiyudha (2010). Furthermore, familiar names like Rahman Ibrahim (2008), who develops business software for fashion “distro”; publisher Irfan Amalee of Mizan Pelangi (2009); and Muhamad Lukman of Pixel People Project (2010) are also past IYCE Interactive winners.

Participants can come from any of the following areas:

  • Film, TV and animation development, production, post production, and special effects
  • Distribution and/or sales for film, TV, animation and other multimedia content
  • Exhibition for film, TV and animation, including cinema and festival/event programming and management
  • Journalism (print and broadcast), publishing, PR and marketing specialising in film, TV and animation
  • Consultants providing specialist services in any of the areas outlined (i.e. skills for scriptwriting, visual effects, artist management, etc.)

  • Interactive software, entertainment and games developers, specialist agencies, publishers, and marketing specialist including those working across platforms (internet, radio and television broadcast, consoles, and mobile devices)
  • Designers and developers of internet multimedia, web design, and social media platforms
  • Interactive marketing, multimedia and interactive event production
  • Experimental media
  • Consultants providing specialist services in this area

IYCE Screen & Interactive winners will join the London Film Festival and also get to opportunity to participate in Tech City Entrepreneurs Festival (TBC).

Previous programmes have included master-classes with

Duncan Kenworthy (producer of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, and Love Actually), meetings and seminars with leading media companies including Aardman Animations, Passion Pictures, RSA Films, BBC, Channel 4, Sixteen Films (Ken Loach production company), Dogwoof, Big Talk Productions, Protagonist Films, City Screen, UK Film Council, British Film Institute,  BAFTA, and London Film School.

Previous programmes have also included masterclasses with Ian Livingstone (Life President of Eidos, the man behind the Tomb-Raider game) and meetings and seminars with leading media companies Moving Brands, Trampoline Systems, R/GA, Playgen, Unit 9, Wired UK, and UK Interactive Entertainment Association.
