Goris Mutaqim

Fortunately for the planet’s future, Goris Mutaqim is on our team, he is an International Climate Champion. Even as a young student at the Bandung Institute of Technology, Goris was known on campus as a driven entrepreneur and free-thinker, eager to foster his ideas on self empowerment through workshops and seminars, spreading his business acumen to fellow students.  Like the forces of “ying” and “yang”, Goris balances his commercial spirit with strong environmental ideals, creating the perfect dynamo for sustainable growth.  After university Goris founded “Asgar Muda”, a foundation created to empower disaffected youth in his home town of Garut.  The foundation encourages the town’s youth to improve the welfare of Garut’s community through entrepreneurial initiatives. One large green initiative engaged 4,000 farmers of vetiver, a grass whose roots are distilled to produce a valuable essential oil. Goris and his staff have inspired the farmers to look at more environmentally-friendly alternatives to current practices. Goris will continue to facilitate the way for young people to realize their entrepreneurial dreams while doing their part to reduce the issue of climate change.

Inggriet Dwi Wedhaswary

Communication is a key strength for Inggriet Dwi Wedhaswary. Pen or podium, it does not matter. From a diploma to masters in communication from Gadjah Mada University in Jogyakarta, Inggriet has proved herself capable of high academic achievement, writing her thesis about citizen journalism. In the practical world she has anchored her own radio show on Radio Elshinta in Jakarta and currently works as a journalist on Kompas.com, the leading business website in Indonesia.  Since she was at high school, Inggriet has always dreamed of becoming a journalist.  Reporting stories in the daily news stories keeps her abreast of legal, geopolitical and, in particular, environmental issues, which has become her passion. When she rides the train to Copenhagen an International Climate Champion, there is no doubt she will be communicating her strongest green opinions to her fellow passengers!
