Tips from Yoris Sebastian (Indonesian Champion for IYMEY 2006)

Q: Do I need to have my own company?
A: No, You don't, as long you have enterpreneurship skill and good achievements in music you can join.

Q: What benefits can I have?
A: Being a finalist itself is a benefit, because you will meet other music enterpreneurs in Indonesia. If you win and can represent Indonesia in London, you will widen your network in the UK and also your international friends

Q: Is the English test difficult?
A: The test is quite difficult, considering that most of us rarely do an English test these days. If I can say, It seems that all participants having the same feeling; so, don't let the English test discourage you to join.

Q: What should I prepare both for the local and the UK competitions?
A: For the local competition you have to show that you deserve to be the Indonesian champion. Try to find good visions and music projects that you are running now or in the near future. For the UK competition you need to show how your project would be better with support from our networks in the UK. However, after going back from the UK, I believe you will have so many things to do, because the experience is very inspirational.

Q: Can I choose my own network that I want to meet in the UK? How and when can I do it?
A: Going to the UK gives us an opportunity to meet and get along with finalists from other countries. If we can maximise It, this experience will be a big opportunity to start an international network with them.
