Here are the names of 10 finalists for IYCEY Fashion Award 2007. They have been selected by three judges: Ni Luh Sekar (DEWI Magazine Chief Editor), Samuel Mulia (fashion editor, columnist for KOMPAS), and Yudhi Soerjoatmodjo (British Council’s Team Leader Creativity), in alphabetical order:

Andre Young Dipo (b.1980)  is managing director of www.formosabali.com, an e-commerce fashion trading and supply chain based in Salatiga and Singapore. The company partners with local craft and clothing communities suffering from the 2006 Yogyakarta earthquake. Andre is currently finishing his business study at the National University of Singapore.

Aulia Mauludi (b.1978) is a designer and founder of the Klampist Community that produce, retails and markets independent clothing labels in Surabaya, Indonesia’s second biggest city. His own design includes the popular “Mowl and Melle” line. The company also supports a burgeoning community of young creative talents in music, design and video.

Chitra Subijakto (b.1972) is a fashion stylist and creative buyer currently busy with her business ‘Alun-alun Indonesia’ at Grand Indonesia Jakarta, offering interpretation of traditional motif for contemporary and young audience. Chitra is a well-known stylist for Indonesia’s leading fashion and lifestyle magazine, video clips, films, and advertising.

Deli Makmur Rahman (b.1974) left a high-paying job in the advertising business to lead his own communication agency focusing on the promotion of fashion and lifestyle, FAME74. His clients include Louis Vuitton, Cartier, TAG Hauer, Nokia, and many more. Deli and his company also published Jakarta Fashion Minute 07/08, the first fashion directory book aimed at promoting Indonesian fashion abroad.

Franky Wongkar (b.1980) studied jewellery design at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. Upon his return he established the Franky Wongkar Jewelry –in his own words, an underground company that design custom-made bespoke-jewellery without the benefit of sophisticated boutique at high-end malls.

Irsan (b.1972) is a fashion creator of the famous  HOUSE OF IRSAN, a fashion house for ready to wear and made to order collections based in Kuta, Bali, with clients in France, Italy and other European capitals. He dreams of publishing a Fashion Photography Book in the future.

Made Febriandini (b.1975) is a director of Nataraja Fine Batik workshop in Yogyakarta that reinterprets traditional batiks as innovative, eclectic, and luxurious fashion wear since 2003. Nataraja took second place in the ASEAN Leaders’ Customs Comptition at the 9th ASEAN Summit in Jakarta.

Olivy Aprilia Elginio (b.1982) is a freelance stylist and fashion designer. Oliv got her first break studying fashion in the UK through a British Council competition in 2002. Her quirky and Brit-pop influenced designs have since made her the darling of many Indonesian artists such as Ratu and Samsons. Oliv also creates illustrations for a number of children books.

Pandji Pragiwaksono (b.1979) describes himself as a 3E: entrepreneur, entertainer, and educator. Beside his daily profession as a broadcaster of top radio station Hard Rock FM-Jakarta Pandji is also a co-owner of REF Basketball Clothing, which compete not only with the likes of Nike but also those that pirated the big international brands.

Tb. Fiki Chikara (b.1976) is an owner-director of a clothing company, AIRPLANE SYST, the second largest independent clothing company in Bandung. The company has distributions in more than 80 cities across Indonesia and as far Papua. His innovative Airbus One, brings contemporary street-wear to young buyers in small towns and rural areas. He is head of Kreative Independent Clothing Kommunity (KICK) in Bandung since September 2006.
