Wildscreen festival in India

Wildscreen is the world’s largest and most prestigious wildlife and environment film festival. Its aim is to encourage and applaud excellence in producing films about the natural world, so as to increase the global viewing public’s awareness and understanding of nature and the urgent need to conserve it.

Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, the biennial Wildscreen Festival gives filmmakers the opportunity to step outside their creative bubble and sample other projects. After a quarter century in Bristol, the film festival was held in New Delhi, Kolkata, Pune and Chennai from 19 to 24 January 2007. The year 2007 also coincides with the 100th anniversary of British wildlife filmmaking.

Wildscreen Festival was brought to India by the Wildscreen, the British Council and the British High Commission.
